College Housing Programs
Host Placements
Students are provided with a private bedroom and a shared bathroom, with all utilities and internet included in the ISP fees. Each student is also supported by a dedicated coordinator, ensuring personalized assistance throughout their stay.
Our hosts understand the importance of independence for today’s students, offering a balance of support and freedom to create a comfortable and modern living arrangement. There’s no need to worry about outdated or restrictive perceptions of “host families”—our program is designed to meet the needs of the modern student.
Additional services include airport pickup and drop-off at most locations. Meal plans are also available, allowing students to select their preferences during the application process for a seamless experience.
Worried About Independence in a Homestay? We’ve Got You Covered!
Some college students are concerned that they’re too old for a homestay program and that they won’t have any freedom. Don’t worry! ISP understands these concerns and places students with hosts who understand that college students need independence. And, if you don’t like your host, our staff can switch you to another one. Safety and student satisfaction are our top priorities!
Shared Housing
For Students Attending Foothill and De Anza College in Northern California
Our Shared Housing units are local homes that have been converted into student accommodations. These units house 1–7 students of mixed gender and come with a bed, desk, and dresser for clothing storage. Students share a fully equipped kitchen, with cooking utensils provided.
Each student is assigned an ISP Coordinator who is available to answer questions and assist with any issues that may arise.
The Shared Housing Program offers a great balance of independence and support, ideal for students seeking autonomy with the guidance of an ISP Coordinator. Due to high demand and limited space, we recommend checking with us for availability and current pricing.

College Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I apply?
When should I apply?
We encourage students to apply as early as possible, ideally two months before their arrival. While we accommodate late applicants, applications submitted within 21 days of arrival will incur an additional fee.
How much does it cost?
Can you place me at anywhere in the US?
Yes, anywhere!
I'm a college student and want to be independent but I also don't want to cook and worry about where I'll live. Will ISP work for me?
What does my host provide?
How long does it take to place me with a host?
How long can I stay with my host?
Can I move to another host if I don't like it?
We're flexible about helping students move if they need to. We want you to have a great experience.
Who picks me up from the airport?
Our ISP driver! If you don't want to schedule an ISP driver, you can arrange your own transportation. We recommend using ISP because our drivers wait for you at the gate....not at the curb...so you don't have to worry about navigating an unfamiliar airport.
How do I get my host information?
My college requires me to have a guardian since I'm under 18. Can ISP arrange this?
Yes, we can! You must be in our homestay program to qualify for the guardianship program. We charge a monthly fee for guardianship until you turn 18 and provide a certificate of guardianship to your college.
Can I cancel my application?
Sometimes we allow this but if we've done the work to place you, chances are there will be no refund.
