College & Intern Housing Programs

  • Homestay placement for college students and interns, including matching you to a great host family.
  • Shared Housing placement available for Northern California college students (dormitory style).
  • Personal airport pickup coordination and welcome.
  • Support and assistance for all of our students!
  • Rigorous screening process for new host families. All host families are interviewed in their homes by ISP staff before being accepted to the program. We seek to ensure that you will have a positive and supportive environment.

Homestay Placements

ISP is proud to have hundreds of active and eager host families all over the United States. Hosts are a variety of ages and can be families with children, single adults, couples without children, single parents, and retired people. Hosts come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, which represents the diversity of the United States, and are eager to welcome you.

Shared Housing

Only For Students Attending Foothill College and De Anza College

Shared Housing units are local homes that have been converted to student housing. Typically, Shared Housing units accommodate 1–7 students and are furnished to include a bed, desk, and dresser. Students share the kitchen, garden, and recreation room. Bedrooms are single and double placement. Students are assigned an ISP Area Coordinator who helps with adjustments and questions.

Shared Housing provides an excellent opportunity for students who want to be independent yet have the support of their landlords and ISP Area Coordinator. The demand for Shared Housing is extremely high and space is limited, so please check with us for availability.

Friendship Service

Shared Housing students may request Friendship Service. The price for the service is $250. We arrange to spend 2–3 hours with each student and provide:

  • Initial shopping trip for food and necessities
  • Area orientation
  • Explanation of transportation including maps and timetables
  • Assistance with banking and cell phone purchase
